Christian Dior Resort 2013.

As his final performance for the house of Dior, Bill Gaytten played upon the same historical chords of his Fall collection yet in a softer sense. Full-skirted silhouettes and tightly waisted corset like pieces were once again created, in a collection full of beautiful, classic clothing which we have come to expect from Dior’s caretaker during such turbulent times.

As a designer, he has stripped post-Galliano Dior back to a blank canvas of its very fundamentals. In doing this, he has eased the role of Raf Simmons in having to begin his reign at Dior following the legacy which was Galliano. As we mentally prepare for the debut of Raf Simmons in a couple of weeks time during July’s Couture schedule, Gaytten has yet again maintained the name of Dior in an ode to the values of it’s creator,

with love.
