Prada Fall 2012; With it’s abundant plethora of vibrant geometric patterns, I was initially unsure to where I stood with this collection. It’s definitely not Miuccia’s finest moments in my eyes, yet perplexing none the less. Designed without theory as the pure “pleasure of fashion” (Miuccia Prada), Prada’s Fall 2012 collection exerted rather more youthful and playful vibes which we would normally expect from the likes of it’s more youth focused diffusion line; Miu Miu.

With a strong essence of ‘70’s nostalgia, the retro focused collection was complete with matron-like crish, sharp and controlled silhouettes along with its psychedelic prints and intense embellishment. The models donned dominantly pale complexions along with dark eyes, contrasting pigmented eye-makeup and straight two-toned hair. Upon a colour palette of orange, purple and mustard yellow hits, Prada’s tailored trousers proved as heroines of the collection, cut just above the ankle in a flattering slim fashion, as did their uber-structured bags,

with love.
