Raf Simons out, Jil Sander in

Having held the position as Jil Sander’s head designer for the past seven years, Raf Simons will be leaving the brand post the RTW Fall 2012 collection as part of this seasons Milan Fashion Week. It has been confirmed that Jil Sander herself will be “happ[ily]” moving back to her eponymous label which she founded in 1968, exited in 2000 and then returning in 2003 for another short period.

Although where to for Simons now? There has been much tension filled speculation in his possible gravitation to either Dior and YSL as some of the most historic fashion houses undertake some Spring cleaning per se of their designers, but let’s just keep our fingers crossed for a move to YSL,
with love.
