Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012; In a vibe of upper class swinging ‘60’s the de la Renta collection of Fall 2012 appeared to be “pitched at a new [youthful] generation”, as models donned jewel affixed ribbons in a dreamy powdered palette. Short full-skirted silhouettes fixed in a ladylike fashion to just above the knee dominated the runway, with de la Renta playing on a playful yet eternally elegant innocence. Light layering in luxe fabrics of silk, cashmere, fur, lace and chiffon guided the bubble gum pink , pale lilac and powdered blue attire as the designer incorporated “a lot of colors you would not associate with Winter colors” asserting that in fact “today’s woman doesn’t dress for seasons.” Enhancing his ‘60’s upper class reference in an assortment of jewels, de la Renta presented beauty in the embellishment of both jewel digital prints in a modern approach in conjunction with oversized faux pearls in one of the most outstanding collections this season so far,

with love.
