Alexander Wang Fall 2012; Extending his infamous androgynous, sportswear inclined aspirations, Wang brought back models Gisele Bundchen, Shalom Harlow and Karolina Kurkova to the runway, through his uber-texturised, leather boasting Fall 2012 collection. From boxy to puffy silhouettes, mid-slit leather skirts and mouth-sealing mesh turtlenecks the glossy collection was ample with controversy.

Harsh black, deep burgundy red and “peroxide white” (Alexander Wang) domineered the slick Matrix-esque collection of “cool-girl” appeal in it’s military inspired leather trench coats, wool sweaters, knee-high leather boots, short chiffon accented dresses and pieces seemingly created out of waterproof material. Staged upon an industrial appearing ground with abstractly positioned mirrors and narrow pathways, the measured collection displayed Wang’s maturing into a more sophisticated designer.
